Explore a variety of selected Spotify playlists where you'll sample current hits in Spain (many of which you've probably already heard) and music enjoyed by your host-family and their loved ones. Then, through a series of videos and articles, discover the traditional and modern dance styles enjoyed
and practiced throughout Spain.

Dance
Looking to learn more about the culture and history of Flamenco? Do you want to learn a few basic steps?

Then, you'll want to participate in our virtual
Flamenco Workshop. In this guided reflection you'll find informational videos, reflection questions, and flamenco tutorials. And of course, you'll have the option to share your experience through a variety of formats you can choose from. For example, record a TikTok of you practicing your new moves. You can even have your family do it with you!
Homestay / El Faro activity
Many people who live in Madrid are originally from, or have loved-ones who are from another province or town with different traditions and customs. Ask your host family or any Spanish friends you made about the traditional dance(s) from their hometown.
